Ambling is a self help group, with members taking it in turn to lead about one walk during the season. After each amble a local hostelry is generally visited for lunch. For details of leaders and organiser click here.
Please advise leader(s) of walks if you are Walking or just Lunching so they can advise the Venue.

Take the B2131 towards Liphook, going past 2 ponds known as Shottermill Ponds. Continue along this road through Hammer, (you will see a Church on the right hand side with a turn to the right named Hammer Lane). Continue along the main road up to the top of the hill and take the first turning on the left, which is signposted to Lynchmere. You will see some council bungalows, drive past them and continue along this road for about a quarter of a mile when you will see a lay by on the left hand side. Click for map.
Lunch at the Prince of Wales in Hammer. Returning the way you came, you should turn left just before the Church on the way down towards Shottermill Ponds (Hammer Lane) and follow the road for about a mile before coming to the Prince of Wales on your right. There will be cars to follow for those who are unsure of the way!
Please let Sylvia know whether you are walking and/or lunching by the end of the Monday before the amble. She particularly needs your lunch choices by then.
Here is the menu from the Prince of Wales.
