Northchapel amble January 2019
Northchapel amble January 2019

Ambling is a self help group, with members taking it in turn to lead about one walk during the season. After each amble a local hostelry is generally visited for lunch. For details of the organiser click here.
Walks generally start at 10.30am. Please arrive early enough to order food if necessary.

It is requested that all walkers carry with them the details of their address, next of kin and any medication that they are on. It is a good idea to have an ICE number in their mobile phone directory.
ICE stands for 'In Case of Emergency'! For those who wish to, the following link shows you how to add the necessary to an Android or I-Phone: www.wikihow.com/Add-ICE-to-Your-Cell-Phone

Where possible the Directions include a link to the streetmap website to enable members to view and print scalable a map of the destination. Postcodes, when known, are shown, but take care using these with Satnav as they sometimes mislead! The map is more accurate in all cases. A link to the website of the venue is also given where known.

Please advise leader(s) of walks if you are Walking or just Lunching so they can advise the Venue. The leader will respond to an email to confirm its receipt.

October 23rd Allen & Jeanne Chubb (654654) The Stonemasons Inn - this is on the left side of the A283 as you enter Petworth from the Northchapel direction, just after the 30 mph sign.
They have chosen a 3-mile route through Petworth Park, which is almost flat, with no stiles. There is unlikely to be any significant mud.
The pub have agreed that we may use their toilets, before we depart at 10.30 am prompt. Parking is in the pub car park or on roads nearby, to the north of the pub. The menu is attached. Please note that they will add a 10% service charge to the prices shown.
Those of you who are members of the National Trust might like to bring your membership cards with you, to facilitate the use of their toilets or a visit to the House after lunch. However, these will not be needed to walk in the Park.
Please email Allen by Sunday 20th October to confirm whether you are (a) ambling and (b) lunching and, if lunching, to state your menu choice.
